1960s

This was the time that the Beatles became very famous, specificly during 1964 when they were at their first tour in the US.Other popular things were sesame street and the munsters.A comic strip i like to read is the peanuts.But i mostly love jumping on my trampoline or playing with my GI Joe figures.The cold war was still going on and they were still stockpiling bombs...I dont find any use of this useful we should all just sign an agreement instead of threatning to kill each other.

1950s

During the 1950s me and my friend would stay around the bowling alley all day.Then once we left we go into a drive in and watch a movie most likely starring Marilyn Monroe.My children would bug me all the time for a barbie doll to add to their collection of toys.Rock'n'roll is popular right now.So are the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.Here 5 things i usualy say pretty often:cloud-9,dont have a cow man!,cream,cat and Clyde.The cold war wasnt helping anyone, the korean war had a very violent start with North and South Korea.And they were just stock piling nuclear bombs.All this started because of the division of Germany...useless if you ask me

WWII The Holocaust

The holocaust was when Hitler started to kill all jewish people that lived.Hitler used the jews as his 'scapegoat' (excuse for the bad things that happened) so for that he killed all the jewish people he could find.Hitler would gather up all the Jews and put them into small crowded called 'Ghettos' there was 2-3 families per house.Then Hitler would take them out and then gas them and have the bodies burned.And afterwords Nazis would go into the houses with stethoscopes and would listen for the Jews and if they heard them they would shoot and kill the ones that are hiding.

Causes Of WWII

There is an accronim used for the causes of WWII.It is called LAMB (Land, Army, Money, Blame).After WWI Germany had the Rhineland taken from it (Its biggest source of money) and Hitler also wanted to have a bigger country.The treaty of versailles said that Germany could only have 100000 troops in the country to make sure nothing happens, but Hitler wanted a bigger army to invade. Germany was also in the great depression and they also made Germany pay for all the damages caused during WWI, so Hitler needed a way to get more money to support his country.Germany had to take all the blame for starting WWI.And the League of Nations did nothing when Hitler started to take over countries.

World WarII Japanese Canadians

The Japanese Canadians werent treated well because Canada thought they were Japanese spies so they locked them up in camps during the world war.They were all forced to live in British Columbia unless they had a written permit for BC and if they were found they were liable to be killed.People in BC didnt feel safe in their homes so they asked Mackenzie King to move them.He said yes and made them all move 160km 'inland' so they could guard the pacific coast from the Japanese spies.They also made them live in internment camps.These internment camps had horrible conditions and they were cramped with lots of other Japanese people.They also had to do hard labour inside the internment camps.When something bad happened if the Japanese Canadians were around they got the blame if they did it or not.Canada also took away all of the Japanese fishing fleets in case they would escape and give away information.

Dirty Thirties Politics

Herbert Hoover was blamed for the cause of the stock market crash and leading to the great depression.Roosevelt almost singlehandly forged a new political alliance between the working classes of the Northern cities.Roosevelt said he would try to find a way to get us out of the great depression we are in.For saying he wanted to help us out of the great depression he won the election for a second time.WWII greatly helped the role of women. Women, as soon as the war was started, were desperatley needed in the workforce after thousands of job vancancies opened up when the men went to war. Women were encouraged to leave their traditional house-wife roles of cooking, cleaning, and raising the children to work in munitions factories. Daycares were common at factories for the women's children to go to while they worked.And some women were sent to war as medics to make sure more men could be send to fight the war.Canada would help out Great Britain by sending them resources by boat but sometimes they would get hit by torpedos from a German attack sub hiding in the pacific.So Lewis Nixon invented sonar which would find submarines underwater.Then we started sending ships in convoys (Cargo boats guarded by destroyers with sonar) and we were able to find German subs and destroy them and got alot more resources to Great Britain.
